The Hamilton Varsity Volleyball team went head to head with Allendale for the second time this season expecting to win once again. The game took place on the Falcons home court in Allendale. It was their senior night ceremony so it was an intense game with an intense start , with a brand new lineup totaling four new starters. The beginning of the first set stayed close as the new starters, mostly underclassmen, were able to hang with the lady Falcons, but ended ended up dropping the first set 17-25.
In the remainder of the game, the Hawkeyes fought back and swept the Falcons by winning the second set 25-17. They continued to fight back and ended up winning the third set 25-14, and the fourth set, 25-16. Outside hitter, number 18 Jeralyn Hoppes played one of her best games of the season with 35 kill attempts and 17 of those being successful kills. Number 3, setter Joelle Boeskool played a great game as well with a 90.9% serving accuracy and even a kill, which is not always seen by a setter.
Overall, the Hawkeyes got it done and worked extremely well together to cover the court, get balls in system and finish it off by putting the ball done for a kill!
