The Hamilton Hawkeye fell to the Allendale Falcons 55-61, in a hard fought game to bring their record to 3-5. The Hawkeyes top scorer of the game was sophomore, Justin Mcllwain (#0) with 12 points. Brayden Geurink (#4) and Quentin Soerens (#11) each ended the game with 11 points. Austin Osborne (#3) and Brant Goodpaster (#5) had the most defensive rebounds, both had 6. The Hawkeyes beat the Falcons in defensive rebounds, with a total of 31 to 23.
In the first quarter the falcons offense came out strong and outscored us 26-11. Going into the second quarter the Hawkeyes knew if they wanted to win, they had to step up their game on offense and defense. The Hawks locked down on defense and Allendale only scored 4 points, making the score 27-30 going into halftime. Both teams stepped up their game coming out of halftime, each scoring 20 more points. As the fourth quarter started it was very close and it could’ve been anyone's game. Unfortunately the Falcons outscored us 8-11, making the final score 55-61.
