The Hamilton Hawkeyes fell to Coopersville with a score of 54-69 in a hard fought game, bringing the hawks record to 5-9. The Hawkeye’s top scorer of the game was Junior Brady Tebo #2 with 12 points. Thano Klett was a close second with 10 points, and Austin Osborne and Brayden Geurink ended with 9 points. Caleb Geurink and Jesse Genzink both had 5 points, and Justin Mcillwain had 4. The Coopersville Broncos’ leading scorer was Travis Rosel with 21 points. Then Mark Devries with 11 points, Isaiah Currie with 10 points, Ty Anthony with 8 points, Luke Sanford with 7 points, Eli Spencer with 2 points and Brice Becklin with 1 point.
“The Hawkeyes started out slow at the beginning of the game and ended playing well, but unfortunately could not get enough momentum back to swing the lead.” Jesse Genzink stated after their loss. The game was very entertaining to watch and it had a lot of great moments for both teams. But the Hawkeyes were unable to pull ahead and lost the game. Brady Tebo said, “We flat out got outworked, we turned over the ball and they wanted it more than we did.”
